Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at the YMCA of the Triangle Area. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, including the main building and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment by completing daily cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and unclogging drains.
  • Assist with event setup and teardown, including arranging furniture and supplies.
  • Restock supplies and maintain inventory levels.
  • Report any maintenance issues or concerns to the Facilities Director.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 6 months or more of related experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Environment

The YMCA of the Triangle Area is a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a Custodian, you will be working in a variety of settings, including the main building, outdoor areas, and event spaces. You will be required to work a varying schedule, including weekends and holidays.
