The Structural Integrity Analyst will engage in practical engineering tasks, operating in various environments including field sites, testing facilities, and office settings. This position necessitates a commitment to continuous learning, conducting thorough technical investigations, and preparing detailed engineering reports.
Investigative Focus
This role diverges from conventional design responsibilities, concentrating instead on analyzing and identifying the reasons behind structural failures. The emphasis is placed on the principles of physics and engineering, ensuring their proper application within the constructed environment.
Essential Functions
- Conduct comprehensive hands-on failure analysis in diverse settings.
- Document findings and prepare final reports.
- Perform technical research.
- Apply theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios.
- Meet assignment deadlines as per client requirements.
- Uphold ethical standards consistently.
- Communicate complex issues clearly to non-technical audiences through report writing.
Required Skills

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of engineering design experience.
- At least 5 years in supervisory or project management roles.
Licensing and Other Requirements
- Licensed Professional Engineer.
- Preferred: Licensed Structural Engineer.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean record.
- Ability to pass a background check as mandated for the role.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position with some flexibility in hours, although availability during standard business hours is required. The role involves a mix of fieldwork, travel, and sedentary tasks.
Physical Demands
Employees must be capable of driving, standing, sitting, walking, reaching, typing, talking, hearing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Additionally, traversing uneven terrain, entering structures, using ladders, and working in various weather conditions may be necessary.
Travel Requirements
Regular travel is an integral part of the Structural Integrity Analyst position, with potential overnight trips.
