Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Systems Administrator to join our team at I2X Technologies. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determining hardware, software, and systems specifications, and configuration requirements.
  • Executing patching, fixing, and making all assigned systems compliant.
  • Planning, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Microsoft Hyper V, Microsoft Server 2008 R2, Server 2012 R2, Server 2016, Active Directory, and client products across multiple networks, and network storage.
  • Providing support to users in the areas of account management, enterprise applications, desktop applications, and peripherals.
  • Working closely with the ISSO for data transfers and media creation.
  • Facilitating and coordinating user account creation and modification.
  • Performing other hardware and software tasks as assigned.
Requirements
  • 2 years of related experience.
  • TS/SCI Clearance required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university. 2 additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • Experienced in Windows Server and Server patching.
  • DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT), Level II or higher.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working technical competency in one or more of the following supported platforms: Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers, MS Hyper-V/VMWare/ESx/Xen Hypervisors, Enterprise networking/firewalls/intrusion detection/prevention systems, forensic analysis/vulnerability assessment, Group Policy management and configuration, Scripting, BMC Footprints, WSUS, Lumension, Bitlocker, SQL Server 2012, TomCat, IIS, Windows Server 2012r2/2016, Win 10, Red Hat 6.
  • 5, Microsoft Office.
  • Toolkits, SEIMs, Logrhythm, ACAS/Nessus/SCAP, mandatory/role-based access control concepts (e.g. SE Linux extensions to RHEL, PitBull, AppArmor, and Sentris), video teleconferencing/VOIP, Oracle/MS SQL database security, and Apache/IIS Web server security.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly sit, walk, stand and climb stairs and steps. May require walking long distance from parking to work station.

Occasionally, movement that requires twisting at the neck and/or trunk more than the average person, squatting/ stooping/kneeling, reaching above the head, and forward motion will be required.

The employee will continuously be required to repeat the same hand, arm, or finger motion many times. Manual and finger dexterity are essential to this position.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, depth perception and telling differences among colors.

The employee must be able to communicate through speech with clients and public.

Hearing requirements include conversation in both quiet and noisy environments.

Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds.

This position demands tolerance for various levels of mental stress.
