Job Title:
Computed Tomography Technologist - Local Contract

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team on a local contract basis. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for capturing high-quality diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues using computerized tomography equipment.

Key Responsibilities

* Appropriately position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies
* Perform regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes
* Sterilize radiologic equipment to ensure the safety of patients and staff
* Interpret doctors' written scanning instructions and administer radiocontrast agents to patients as needed
* Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality
* Explain scanning procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as required

Requirements

* BLS and ACLS certification
* National Institutes of Health (NIH) certification
* Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
* Ability to stand for extended periods
* Strong technical skills
* Knowledge of medical terminology
* Passionate about patient care
* Requires a minimum of three years of current CT Tech experience
* Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Tech/CT Tech program
* Active unencumbered CT Tech Alabama state license
* One year of Cerner experience
* ARRT Certification

* Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all
