Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting Inspections: Schedule and oversee inspections for burglar, sprinkler, fire, and suppression systems.
  • Deficiency Reporting: Identify deficiencies and implement root cause corrections.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Develop emergency action plans and provide training during the onboarding process.
  • Internal Investigations: Conduct investigations as assigned by upper management.
  • Camera System Audits: Ensure that surveillance cameras are operational and properly connected.
  • Regulatory Inspections: Facilitate inspections by the Illinois Department of Agriculture and Illinois State Police as required.
  • Access Control Management: Manage access badging, including the assignment, removal, and creation of new badges.
  • Emergency Response: Be available for off-hours emergencies, including transportation issues and alarm responses.
  • Vehicle Maintenance Tracking: Oversee the maintenance and repair schedules for transportation vehicles.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Collaborate with management from other departments to ensure timely and effective solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent; technical training or relevant experience in applicable fields.
  • Experience: Demonstrated soft skills and ability to resolve conflicts calmly.
  • Licensure: Compliance with Illinois Department of Federal Regulation regarding felony convictions related to cannabis or assault; must support medical cannabis.
  • Certifications: OSHA certification preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Capability to maintain balance while climbing, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and endure various environmental conditions.
  • Visual acuity for tasks such as reading and inspecting small details.
  • Effective verbal communication skills in moderate noise levels.

Work Schedule: This position requires a commitment of 40+ hours per week with flexible hours based on departmental needs. Availability for occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays is necessary, along with readiness to respond to after-hours emergencies.
