Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and coordinate the backhaul program, ensuring efficient logistics and transportation management.
  • Process EZ Claims for shortages and damages on logistic and backhaul purchase orders.
  • Document and track DOT claims process, recovering losses for the division.
  • Communicate effectively with operations, purchasing, transportation, and dedicated backhaul drivers to ensure smooth logistics operations.
  • Perform daily dispatching tasks, including scheduling appointments and coordinating pickups and deliveries.
  • Work closely with the transportation department to optimize routes and reduce costs.
  • Monitor Manhattan and Roadnet systems to accept or reject load tenders and generate manifests for future backhaul appointments.
  • Analyze data and identify areas for improvement in logistics operations.
  • Develop and implement solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in a foodservice environment, preferably in logistics or transportation.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of DOT Hours of Service Regulations and transportation industry practices.
