Key Responsibilities:


The Childcare Support Educator plays a vital role in assisting the lead teacher and ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children. Responsibilities include:

  • Completing assigned tasks as directed by the Director, adhering to established timelines
  • Answering phone calls and assisting with lesson planning in accordance with Tennessee Early Learning Development Standards (TN-ELDS)
  • Interacting positively with children of various age groups
  • Supporting the lead teacher in daily classroom activities and routines
  • Welcoming parents, children, and staff with a friendly demeanor
  • Ensuring the well-being of children through diaper changes, restroom assistance, and proper hygiene practices
  • Maintaining cleanliness in classrooms, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing toys and surfaces
  • Assisting with lesson plans and engaging children in fine and gross motor activities
  • Providing a welcoming voice for phone inquiries
  • Performing proper sanitization of feeding equipment and changing areas
  • Carrying out additional duties as assigned by the Director or team lead

Qualifications:


Required Education:
High School Diploma

Required Licensure & Certifications:
Pediatric/Adult Heartsaver CPR and First Aid certification as mandated by Tennessee childcare licensing

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a childcare setting is advantageous.
