Role: Outpatient Substance Use Disorder Counselor - Medication-Assisted Treatment Program

About Our Organization:

Role Responsibilities:
  • Deliver compassionate and high-quality guidance in both individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Plan, oversee, and document patient recovery processes.
  • Co-facilitate group or family therapy sessions as required.
  • Ensure timely and clear documentation of patient care and treatment.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans for each patient.
  • Conduct initial and follow-up assessments.
  • Assess patient needs and determine the necessity for referrals to additional programs or facilities.
  • Plan aftercare for assigned patients as needed.
  • Provide crisis intervention support to patients when necessary.
  • Manage case responsibilities for patients, ensuring personalized quality care.
  • Act as a liaison between referral sources and patients as required.
Compensation:

Compensation for this role varies based on several factors, including location, role, skill set, and experience level.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required;
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in social or health services preferred;
  • Degree must be from an accredited institution;
  • Prior experience in addiction recovery and/or medication-assisted treatment environments is preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
  • Certification or License preferred;
  • Must be obtained from a California-approved Counselor Certification Organization (CAADE, CADTP, or CCAPP); or
  • LMFT, LCSW, PhD, or PsyD.
