Job Summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a skilled Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our team in a Home Daily capacity. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely operating a commercial vehicle and ensuring compliance with safety and DOT regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a Commercial Vehicle: Safely drive a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle, adhering to all applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules.
  • Compliance and Safety: Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards, maintain accurate records and logs, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload freight or assist in the loading/unloading process as required by customers.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other tasks as assigned by management, including but not limited to, ensuring the security of the vehicle and its cargo.
Requirements
  • Age and Experience: Minimum 21 years of age, with a minimum of 9 months of verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle within the past 3 years.
  • CDL and Endorsements: Possess a valid Class A CDL and necessary endorsements for the position.
  • Physical and Mental Demands: Pass a DOT physical and possess the ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Additional Requirements: Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions, and pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.

  • Competitive Pay: Earn a competitive hourly rate of $20 per hour, with the potential for unlimited bonuses for hired drivers.
