Facilities Maintenance Manager

Primary Objective
The primary objective of this role is to oversee, direct, educate, develop, mentor, facilitate, and inspire team collaboration to achieve maintenance and reliability targets, quality standards, expenditure control, safety protocols, and training initiatives, while enhancing the individual’s behavioral attributes. Strong leadership capabilities, multitasking proficiency, and exceptional employee relations and communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guide the daily operations of the workforce
  • Ensure a safe workplace, free from harassment, adhering to 5S principles and all safety regulations
  • Mentor and advise team members on standard operating procedures and best practices to enhance performance
  • Organize and assess the training of new hires in their job functions
  • Supervise product quality to guarantee compliance with customer specifications
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure production timelines are achieved
  • Coordinate necessary repairs with the maintenance team to sustain operations
  • Plan work schedules as needed to align with production goals
  • Enforce Labor Agreements, corporate policies, and effective housekeeping practices
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Business/Management or Engineering preferred
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience demonstrating leadership in a high-volume production setting, ideally in an industrial context such as metal processing
  • Strong organizational skills, effective verbal and written communication, and solid interpersonal abilities
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and varying shifts as necessary
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer applications
  • Demonstrated initiative, proven leadership, ability to meet deadlines, and capacity to work collaboratively in a team setting

Constellium Muscle Shoals is a leading aluminum manufacturing facility located in Alabama, employing over 1,200 individuals. It features the widest strip mill in the USA and a state-of-the-art recycling center, making it one of the largest facilities within Constellium. The site is recognized as a premier can recycling center, capable of processing nearly 20 billion cans annually. Muscle Shoals primarily produces aluminum can sheet for the packaging sector, especially for beverage containers, and supplies Auto Body Sheet substrate to another Constellium location.
