Optician - LensCrafters

The Optician is responsible for delivering legendary customer service and perfectly crafted high-quality eyewear that exceeds our customers' expectations. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

1. Greet all customers with a warm welcome and ensure they know what to expect.
2. Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
3. Act as a leader in optical acumen and provide a voice for associates.
4. Takes and records measurements, adjusts or fits eyewear correctly, thorough and exact in details.
5. Attracts new customers and explores their needs and priorities.
6. Assists co-workers with difficult or complex areas of product needs and prescriptions.
7. Utilizes store tools and adheres to Brand Store Commitments.
8. Performs work accurately and thoroughly utilizing all technology despite time pressure and customer volume.
9. Anticipates problems and explores underlying reasons for customer issues.
10. Partners with management as necessary.

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• ABO Certification.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and teamwork.
• Knowledge of current store merchandise.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Awareness of current fashion trends.
• Selling skills, including the ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet.
• Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators.
• Embrace new technology and change.

• Previous customer service and retail experience.
