As a Director of Software Engineering at Capital One, you will be responsible for leading multiple teams of software engineers in designing, developing, testing, and implementing technical solutions across a full-stack development environment.

Job Description
As a Senior Engineering Leader, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies such as Java, React, Angular, and Python. You will lead cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy cloud-based applications that are highly available, scalable, and secure. Your primary responsibilities will include mentoring and coaching software engineers, building relationships with product partners, and continuously improving software engineering practices. Additionally, you will work closely with Agile teams to implement technical solutions that meet business requirements.

Estimated Salary Range
The estimated salary range for this position is between $165,000 and $240,000 per year, based on factors such as location, experience, and qualifications. However, please note that actual salaries may vary depending on individual circumstances. We offer a comprehensive compensation package that includes benefits, bonuses, and opportunities for career growth and development.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in software engineering, including experience with cloud-based technologies, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices. A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is required, along with at least 7 years of experience in software development and 5 years of experience in people management. Preferred qualifications include a master's degree, 10+ years of experience in software development, and 5+ years of experience in Agile practices.
