Position Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and committed students eager to maximize their internship experience. Candidates must be eligible for College credit to participate in this internship and must be at least 18 years old. Credit Verification will be provided.

As a production intern at Sinclair Broadcast Group, you will gain invaluable insights into the operational aspects of a broadcasting station. This role encompasses three primary areas of production: Master Control, Directing, and Creative Services. Master Control serves as the central hub of the station, managing all elements of a news broadcast, including coordinating live events and preparing promotional content for air.

In the Directing segment, you will learn how to effectively utilize our advanced Ross Overdrive system, guiding the newscast and ensuring that all components function seamlessly. The Creative Services team will provide you with hands-on experience in editing promotional materials and participating in on-location shoots.

Qualifications:
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in mass communications, media, or a related field.
  • Graduate students are welcome to apply.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Academic credit for the internship is required.
  • Must be registered at the institution during the internship period.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Students entering their junior or senior year are preferred.
