Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Professional Nurse to join our team at Northside Hospital. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety in our operating rooms.
Responsibilities
- Plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, adhering to the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing evidence-based interventions to enhance patient outcomes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in perioperative nursing.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current RN license in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
- Minimum of two years of full-time experience as a RN post-orientation or post-residency training.
- Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
- Additional cardiopulmonary resuscitation certifications (ACLS, NRP, PALS, etc.) may be required for specific clinical units.
- Additional education, competencies, and/or certification may be required as a condition of employment for specific clinical units.
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN degree preferred.
- National Certification in Clinical Specialty preferred.
