Market President, New River Valley/Roanoke

We are seeking a seasoned banking professional to lead our commercial banking efforts in the New River Valley/Roanoke region. As Market President, you will be responsible for driving business development, managing a commercial banking staff, and executing commercial production/profitability goals for the assigned market.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute business strategies to meet or exceed production and contribution goals for the assigned market.
- Negotiate credit terms, including costs, loan repayment methods, and collateral specifications, to drive overall Bank performance and profitability.
- Evaluate potential customer loan requests and make loan recommendations to the Regional President.
- Direct and oversee the production activities of commercial bankers in the market.
- Responsible for staff hiring, development, coaching, performance management, recognition, and disciplinary actions.
- Point of contact for the Bank with public relations outreach in the market.
- Assure effective, bank-wide communication.
- Maintain loan and deposit portfolio for operational efficiency and overall growth.
- Advise on the planning and direction of the Bank's marketing and advertising activities.
- Provide excellent customer service to existing and potential clients.
- Bachelor's degree in business or finance, or equivalent work experience.
- Seven years of experience in a financial institution or loan department required.
- Knowledge of commercial real estate and commercial non-real estate lending policies and procedures required.
- Knowledge of lending services, cash management services, and related areas required.
This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Office environment with job duties conducted via telephone, face-to-face meetings, and on the computer.
Physical DemandsThis position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and opening cabinets. This position requires bending, stooping, or standing as necessary.
