CNC Machinist

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at Advance Services, Inc. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and setting up a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts.

• Operate and Set Up Machine Tools: Utilize knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures to set up and operate numerical control machines.
• Review and Interpret Specifications: Review setup sheets and specifications to determine setup procedures, machining sequences, and dimensions of finished work pieces.
• Assemble and Position Work Pieces: Attach fixtures to machine beds and position and secure work pieces in fixtures according to setup instructions.
• Monitor and Maintain Machine Tools: Observe and listen to machine operation to detect malfunctions, such as worn or damaged cutting tools, and perform accurate and timely 1st part inspections.
• Meet Production Standards: Produce parts at a rate that meets or exceeds accepted production standards and perform secondary operations and inspections as cycle time permits.

• Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED, preferred; three to six months of relative experience and/or training, preferred.
• Competencies: Ability to apply common sense understanding to basic work processes, carry out detailed written, oral, or diagrammed instructions, and deal with problems involving several concrete job-specific variables.
