Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including general diagnostic, fluoroscopy, and specialized procedures. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and high-quality imaging results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiologic procedures, including positioning patients and selecting exposure factors
  • Communicate with patients to explain procedures and obtain clinical history
  • Identify patient and label images, compare requisitions to physician's orders, and process images
  • Assist and consult with radiologists, work independently, and serve as a technical resource for students and staff
  • Prepare and maintain records, enter patient and study information into the radiology information system, and document billing codes
Requirements
  • Radiographer license issued by the state in which you practice
  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Advanced training beyond high school in Radiologic Technology
  • 1 year of experience in a Radiologic Technologist role
Working Conditions

You will work in a fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to change and working independently. You will be required to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently throughout the workday. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs from the floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs over the head, and carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance. You will be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiation hazards, as well as blood and body fluids, and must wear personal protective equipment as necessary.
