Job Title: DSP Engineer

At Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, we're seeking a highly skilled DSP Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and testing signal processing and geolocation systems for the DOD.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and test software-defined signal processing algorithms to characterize and process RF signals for advanced applications.
  • Work with customers and engineers to perform requirements analysis, design tradeoffs, and develop solutions in accordance with system/product architectures.
  • Lead the design, analysis, and development of digital signal processing and communications systems algorithms.
  • Support software engineering development to translate algorithm prototypes into optimized, production-quality code suitable for operational deployment.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers.
  • Contribute to the development of design documentation and other documentation artifacts.
Requirements:
  • Active Top-Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI.
  • Education and/or background in digital signal processing and satellite communications.
  • Team player with experience working in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
Desired Skills:
  • Satellite communications, geolocation, or other RF communications experience.
  • Familiarity with GNU Radio and Software Defined Radios (SDR).
  • Software development experience with languages such as C or C++, or Python.
  • Experience with common engineering lab and test equipment such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
  • Experience with Agile program execution methodologies.
