OBGYN Sonographer Job Description

This position is $5,000 Sign on Bonus Eligible

At Cleveland Clinic, we are seeking a highly skilled OBGYN Sonographer to join our team. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality ultrasound exams to patients in our OB/GYN Institute.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality ultrasound exams according to AIUM guidelines
  • Work within the OB/GYN Institute's ultrasound department
  • Collaborate with physicians to provide accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
  • Teach and train sonographers, students, fellows, and residents
  • Review patient history prior to exam
  • Communicate exam process to patients
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety
  • Monitor templates/schedule for ultrasound appointments
  • Complete end of day transmission of images and archive
  • Rotate to sites as needed within the Institute
  • Assist in new investigative techniques, procedures, and equipment
  • Maintain knowledge in the field and CME's

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • Registered Diagnostic Sonographer (RDMS) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of OBGYN women's health ultrasound experience or three years of ultrasound experience
