Assistant Professor in Cognitive Psychology

We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor in Cognitive Psychology to join our faculty at the College of the Holy Cross. This is a tenure-track position that offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our vibrant academic community and advance your research and teaching career.
About the PositionThe successful candidate will have a strong research background in Cognitive Psychology/Cognitive Science, with a focus on higher-level cognition (e.g., attention, conceptual change, language, learning, or reasoning). We welcome applicants who investigate cognitive processes from different perspectives (e.g., aging, computational modeling, developmental, educational, or evolutionary/comparative). The ideal candidate will be able to teach fundamental area courses in cognition, as well as new courses related to their area of expertise.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate courses in Cognitive Psychology and related areas
- Conduct research in Cognitive Psychology/Cognitive Science, with a focus on higher-level cognition
- Advise and mentor undergraduate students in research projects
- Contribute to departmental and college-wide service
Candidates must demonstrate excellence in scholarship and a commitment to effective undergraduate teaching in the context of a liberal arts college. A doctoral degree is required by the beginning of the appointment.
