About the Job
In this position, you will be responsible for solving challenging substation engineering problems, working with design engineers, and performing quality reviews. You will also work directly with clients and collaborate with staff in remote office locations.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Solving complex substation engineering problems
  • Working with design engineers and performing quality reviews
  • Collaborating with clients and staff in remote offices
  • Configuring IED and data concentrators for substation and distribution automation devices
  • Configuring communication for Ethernet and serial communications in substations

What You Will Bring
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • B.S. or M.S. degree in electrical engineering with eight (8+) years of relevant experience
  • Relevant experience in power system or communication engineering in high-voltage electrical utility substation protection and control engineering
  • Experience with communication devices HMI, SCADA, and RTU
  • Experience with implementation of different communication protocols (e.g., DNP3, Modbus, IEC 61850 MMS, and GOOSE)
  • Control and protection schemes including preparation of schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Knowledge of relay settings for microprocessor relays (SEL, Alstom, GE, ABB, etc.)
