Job Summary:

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled Outpatient Pharmacist to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will provide patient care, clinical activities, and patient consultations to optimize medication therapy and promote health, wellness, and disease prevention.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direction to Pharmacist Residents, Pharmacist Interns, Pharmacy Technicians, and non-licensed personnel.
  • Dispense compounds, procure, store, furnish, order, administer, and distribute pharmacy products and drug tests.
  • Perform drug conversions and participate in the evaluation and management of diseases and health conditions in collaboration with other healthcare providers.
  • Ensure knowledge of updated clinical skills, regulatory changes, and workplace safety.
  • Provide medical personnel and patients with medication and information and product identification.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
  • Must have 1 year of recent experience as a pharmacist, pharmacy intern, or completion of residency.
  • Current APh licensure from the California State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Ability to mentor 1 to 2 APh Candidate Pharmacists.
  • Advanced Practice Continuing Education requirement in relevant subjects or topics.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a high-volume pharmacy.
  • Doctorate of Pharmacy, Pharm.D.
