Job Summary:

A.O. Hardee and Son, Inc. is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to ensure accurate removal and placement of materials on construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate motorized heavy equipment to maneuver materials on construction sites
  • Load and offload materials to/from other heavy equipment, ensuring efficient and safe operations
  • Monitor and maintain equipment to prevent damage and ensure optimal performance
  • Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential issues and report to supervisors
  • Collaborate with supervisors and shop superintendents to prioritize equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Participate in site safety inspections and adhere to all safety protocols

Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Prior experience operating a variety of heavy equipment, with the ability to demonstrate skills during the interview process
  • Excellent vision or the use of prescribed lenses
  • Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • A sound understanding of construction sites and safety guidelines
  • Capacity to follow directions and communicate effectively with team members
