CoreCivic is seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist to join our team. As a Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health care to inmates and residents in a correctional setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative and clinical coordination for the comprehensive mental health care program
  • Assess and provide DSM diagnosis as appropriate
  • Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications
  • Provide counseling, disease process education, and other professional services
  • Supervise and mentor other mental health staff
  • Evaluate and recommend methods of improving operational efficiency and cost effectiveness of mental health services
  • Accept on-call status and provide direct casework services
  • Assist in developing and implementing treatment and therapeutic programs
  • Prepare progress reports and provide recommendations for discharge plans
Requirements:
  • Graduate degree in psychology or a related clinical area and appropriate certification or license
  • Five years of clinical experience, including two years in a comparable position
  • Valid driver's license
