Position Overview:
The Clark Family Branch is looking for a dedicated Custodian to undertake a variety of cleaning tasks aimed at preserving the cleanliness and appealing appearance of the Library facility, both inside and out.

As an award-winning library system, we serve over 860,000 patrons through our branches across St. Louis County, offering updated facilities and a diverse range of programs and partnerships.

Compensation:
$33,132.

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday: 12:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
One Sunday per month.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform cleaning and dusting of tables, counters, furniture, and shelving units, ensuring a clean and sanitary environment.
  • Maintain floors to ensure a safe and visually appealing atmosphere.
  • Clean restrooms to uphold a neat and sanitary environment for both customers and staff.
  • Ensure staff work areas and break rooms are kept clean and organized.
  • Maintain outdoor grounds to provide a safe and tidy environment.
  • Execute periodic deep cleaning projects and other assigned tasks to enhance the library's attractiveness and safety.
  • Assist in the setup of meeting rooms for library programs and external meetings.

Qualifications:
Minimum of one year of custodial experience. A strong commitment to delivering high-quality public service to library patrons and fellow staff members is essential.

Ability to bend to low shelves or reach high shelves within the Library.
Proficiency in using a PC, word processing software, and email.
