Vineyard Harvest Trainee

Pali Wine Co. is excited to welcome a Vineyard Harvest Trainee to our dedicated team at the winery. This seasonal role will work closely with the Associate Winemaker.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring a sanitized and organized workspace
• Engaging in processes such as racking, blending, and barrel filling
• Operating a forklift for transporting goods and barrels
• Executing essential tasks during the harvest, including processing, inoculations, quality control, and sample collection
• Conducting laboratory analyses as required
• Adhering to safety protocols and procedures
• Performing additional duties as necessary

Qualifications:

• Strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Capability to work in diverse temperature conditions, both indoors and outdoors
• Physical ability to climb, bend, stand, and sit for extended periods
• Capacity to lift weights up to 50 lbs
• Willingness to work on elevated and occasionally wet surfaces
• Awareness of moving equipment and safety in the winery environment
• Flexibility to work long hours during peak harvest and bottling seasons
• Previous experience in production, particularly in cellar and barrel operations (preferred)
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Eligibility to work without sponsorship
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks

Compensation: $18 - $20/hour
