Job Title: Hydraulic Systems Technician

RG Group is a leading provider of fluid handling and motion control solutions, and we're seeking a skilled Hydraulic Systems Technician to join our team.

Job Summary:

We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced technician to work on hydraulic systems, pneumatic and electromechanical power systems, and other mechanical systems. As a Hydraulic Systems Technician, you will be responsible for completing service and repair work in a timely and quality manner, testing systems, and supporting startups and field commissions as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete service and repair work of hydraulic, pneumatic, electromechanical, and other mechanical systems in the shop and in the field
  • Proactively sell products that benefit the customer
  • Test systems
  • Support startups and field commissions as necessary
  • Work with the business unit manager to develop and grow the service business
Requirements:
  • Industrial experience with hydraulic repairs and systems
  • Hydraulic hose fabrication
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Welding experience (preferably certified in MIG and/or TIG welding)
  • Experience in tube fabrication, bending, and end conditioning
  • Experience with metal fabrication
  • Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics
  • Good math and reading skills
  • Skills to effectively manage time and meet all necessary deadlines
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated dependability and ability to work independently
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally
  • Demonstrated adherence to safe work habits and practices, including the use of PPE and safety devices
Work Environment:

This role requires the ability to work in customer facilities, job sites, and field service, with a majority of time spent on foot, lifting, bending, standing, and carrying items. Steel toe shoes, flame retardant clothing, and eye protection are required. Flexibility in work hours, including evenings and weekends, is also necessary. Light travel is required.

Education:

A high school diploma or GED is required.
