Pacific Medical Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Certified Pedorthotist to join our team at our Roseville, CA Patient Care Facility.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate professional to provide pedorthic care to our patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating patients, designing, fabricating, fitting, modifying, maintaining, and repairing pedorthic devices to prevent or alleviate painful and disabling conditions affecting the ankle or below.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients to assess their pedorthic needs, including anthropometric data, cognition, circulation, skin integrity, protective sensation, pain, peripheral nerve integrity, endurance, biomechanics, gait analysis, range of motion, muscle strength, posture, balance, and safety.
  • Formulate a treatment plan based on a comprehensive assessment to design an intervention to alleviate limitations, improve function, and enhance quality of life.
  • Implement pedorthic treatment plans, including verification of prescriptions, evaluation of prescription rationale, recommendation incorporating patient and/or caregiver input, development of functional goals, use of evidence-based practice, analysis of structural and design requirements, consultation with and/or referral to other healthcare professionals, and acquisition of anthropometric data.
  • Document patient education and instruction, supervise the provision of care, and document patient encounters.
  • Utilize a follow-up treatment plan to ensure successful pedorthic outcomes, patient health, and quality of life.
Requirements
  • Must be currently licensed and/or certified and in good standing by governing agency in your field of study.
  • Must maintain CME's annually in accordance with governing agency guidelines.
  • Must practice within your scope of work unless privileged by a supervisor or practitioner of another specialty.
  • Must adhere to the guidelines as set forth in the employee handbook of Pacific Medical Inc. upon hire.
  • Must attend and show competency in HIPAA compliance, sexual harassment training, and universal precautions training.
  • Must maintain compliance with governing agency facility accreditation and be a leader in its implementation.
