Pharmacy Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Assistant - Patient Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the success of our pharmacy operations.

1. Supporting Patient Care: Assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, under direct supervision, in accordance with state and federal regulations. Provide exceptional patient care by engaging with customers and patients, resolving issues, and answering questions.
2. Pharmacy Operations: Assist in the performance of other Pharmacy Department duties, including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, and verifying medicine.
3. Customer Service: Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience by greeting customers, offering assistance, and resolving issues.
4. Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals.
5. Training and Development: Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated PTCB training program and/or state required certification/registration.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual with the following qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment. Prior work experience with Walgreens is preferred.
• Skills: Good math skills, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications. Good computer skills. Knowledge of store inventory control.
• Certification: PTCB certification is preferred.

This role is based at one of our locations in Pittsford, NY. We offer a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
