Position Overview

Richland Parish Hospital is in search of a dedicated Director of Information Technology. This role involves overseeing and executing tasks across all sectors of the Information Technology Department.

Key Objectives

  • Supervise departmental personnel and fulfill management responsibilities aligned with the Directorship.
  • Direct the design, execution, and upkeep of network systems.
  • Deliver network support across various organizational platforms.
  • Ensure reliable and consistent connectivity for all networked devices.
  • Develop, implement, and assess disaster recovery protocols.

Core Responsibilities

  • Administer network servers along with related hardware, software, services, and configurations.
  • Advise on, evaluate, and deploy system and security enhancements.
  • Continuously assess and resolve network performance and stability issues.
  • Establish, modify, and manage user settings and permissions for network access.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for network systems and applications.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of three (3) years in a managerial capacity.
  • A minimum of three (3) years in a network administration position.
  • Thorough understanding of networking principles and computing infrastructures.
  • Demonstrated expertise in network engineering, operations, and performance evaluation.
  • Experience with server management and monitoring tools.
  • Excellent communication skills for user training and support.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in computer science or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and later versions.
  • Experience with Cisco networking equipment.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, or CCNP.
