Salary Information

Job Responsibilities

As a Professional Telehealth School Psychologist, your primary duties will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students' needs and develop effective strategies for improvement.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's requirements.
  • Providing individual and group counseling sessions to address emotional, social, and behavioral issues, promoting positive growth and development.
  • Offering crisis intervention and support as needed, leveraging your expertise to ensure student safety and well-being.
  • Engaging in consultative roles with teachers, parents, and administrators to enhance classroom management and promote positive behaviors.
  • Facilitating communication between schools, parents, and external mental health professionals to foster a collaborative approach to student support.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to contribute to student support plans and stay up-to-date on best practices.
  • Delivering workshops and training sessions for staff and parents on topics such as child development, behavior management, and mental health awareness.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential records of student interactions and progress.
Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Specialist degree in School Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Active Georgia teaching certification for School Psychologist.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a school setting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, educators, and administrators.
  • Demonstrated understanding of child and adolescent development.
  • Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the school community.
