Role Summary:
As an Associate Electrical Engineer, you will utilize your technical knowledge in building services to oversee a variety of innovative projects both nationally and internationally. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with clients, architects, engineers, and design team members in a skilled team environment.
- Create comprehensive design drawings, electronic models, specifications, site reports, and schedules across multiple electrical projects.
- Coordinate with utility companies and manage the acquisition of electrical permits.
- Develop technical and financial proposals for new initiatives.
- Oversee and ensure the quality of work produced by Project Discipline Engineers and Technicians.
- Supervise preliminary engineering and detailed design solutions.
- Prepare technical specifications and monitor the financial performance of projects.
- Keep senior staff informed about critical service/design decisions to ensure client objectives are met.
- Mentor junior Electrical Engineers and manage workload to ensure timely project delivery.
- Adhere to company policies and ensure compliance with current legislation and building codes.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering within the building services and construction sectors.
- Experience in sectors such as Higher Education, Museums, Commercial, Transportation Hubs, and Stadiums preferred.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is desirable.
- LEED AP accreditation preferred.
- Proficiency in Revit and familiarity with electrical analysis and lighting design software.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a high sense of responsibility.
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills, including experience presenting to C-suite level stakeholders.
- Capable of preparing detailed technical reports directly for clients.
