As an SLPA, you will play a vital role in providing speech and language services to elementary students, working closely with a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to deliver therapy services and implement treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the supervising SLP in delivering therapy services to elementary-aged students, ensuring comprehensive support for students' communication development.
- Implement treatment plans designed by the SLP to address various speech and language needs, utilizing your expertise and skills to make a positive impact on students' lives.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, providing valuable insights for the SLP and other school staff.
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination of services, promoting a supportive learning environment.
- Provide therapy services onsite, working independently under the guidance of a licensed SLP to ensure high-quality care for students.
Requirements:
- Valid SLPA license or certification in the state of Oregon.
