KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparing and rooming patients for examination.
- Monitoring and recording vital signs.
- Gathering surgical, family, and social histories.
- Coordinating prior authorizations for medications and procedures.
- Assisting in wound care procedures.
- Applying durable medical equipment (DME).
- Evaluating and tracking wound conditions.
- Cleaning and dressing wounds appropriately.
- Providing education to patients and caregivers on wound management, infection control, and prevention of pressure ulcers.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.
- Current licensure as an LPN or RN in the state of Illinois is mandatory.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is essential.
