About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our Neurology department at Ethos Veterinary Health. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the advancement of veterinary medicine.

Responsibilities
  • Master neurological anatomy and function to provide accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Perform high-quality anesthetic induction, monitoring, and maintenance for surgeries and imaging procedures.
  • Calculate medication and fluid doses for administration to hospitalized patients, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Assist in surgeries and advanced imaging procedures, working closely with our neurologists to provide comprehensive care.
  • Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, urinary catheter placement, and other essential procedures to ensure patient comfort and safety.
  • Recognize and document changes in patient attitude, abnormal behavior, and changes in condition, providing timely updates to our neurologists.
  • Acquire histories and assist during neurologic consultations, providing valuable insights to inform treatment decisions.
  • Collaborate with our neurologists to positively impact patient care, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Participate in client education, utilizing practice management software to maintain accurate client and patient records.
  • Contribute to the development of new procedures and protocols, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine.
Requirements
  • CA RVT preferred, with 2+ years of experience in veterinary neurology.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients, demonstrating tact, patience, and professional courtesy.
  • Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices, and estimates.
