Job Title: Registered Nurse - PACU

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team at Methodist Hospital Northeast. As a Registered Nurse in our PACU, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a smooth transition for patients from the operating room to the recovery area.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized patient care, assessing and addressing the physical and emotional needs of patients recovering from surgery.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care.
  • Administer medications, perform various medical procedures, and monitor patients' vital signs and medical conditions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program.
  • Minimum of six (6) months of clinical experience as a licensed Registered Nurse.
  • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
