Job Summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Care Director to lead our care team in providing exceptional care to our residents. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality care services, ensuring the well-being and safety of our residents, and promoting a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the care team, ensuring that care services are delivered in accordance with our high standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing care team, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide exceptional care.
    • Manage the day-to-day operations of the care team, including scheduling, staffing, and performance management.
  • Clinical Care
    • Provide clinical leadership and oversight to ensure that residents receive high-quality care that meets their individual needs and preferences.
    • Develop and implement individualized care plans that promote the health, well-being, and safety of our residents.
    • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians and pharmacists, to ensure that residents receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Quality and Compliance
    • Ensure that our care services meet the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance.
    • Monitor and report on clinical quality data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing initiatives to enhance resident care outcomes.
    • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives, working collaboratively with other departments to drive continuous improvement.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure that care needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
    • Collaborate with other departments, including marketing, admissions, and operations, to ensure that care services are aligned with business objectives.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a healthcare setting, preferably in home health, assisted living, or long-term care.
  • 1+ years of nursing management experience, including hiring, coaching, performance management, scheduling, and daily operations supervision.
  • Experience in tracking, trending, and analyzing clinical performance data, with a focus on quality improvement and resident outcomes.
