Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Prisma Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our physicians and patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical, technical, and administrative duties as directed by the physician and within the scope of training and certification.
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment, including obtaining and recording vital signs, pain screening, and allergies.
  • Assist physicians with examinations, tests, procedures, and office-based surgery, including applying splints, casts, and dressings.
  • Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as ordered by the physician.
  • Document data and care in the patient medical record, maintaining confidentiality.
  • Complete medical insurance and other related forms for physician review, communicating with patients, referral sources, and payors as needed.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited medical assistant program is preferred.
  • Job-related certification from one of the following: CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), CCMA (NHA), NCMA (NCCT), RMA (ARMA), NRCMA (NAHP), or RMA (AAMP).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality.
Work Environment

This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive. The work environment is a medical office setting, and the successful candidate will be required to work in a team-oriented environment.
