Key Responsibilities:
- Assistance to Paralegal Team: Provide essential support to the paralegal team, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient case management.
- Case Management System Updates: Regularly update the internal case management system (CaseAware) and complete assigned tasks diligently.
- Client Portal Management: Utilize and maintain client portals to facilitate new referrals and document all client interactions.
- Compliance Checks: Conduct bankruptcy and military compliance checks as required.
- Document Preparation: Draft, prepare, and review various legal documents including notices, complaints, motions, and affidavits.
- Research: Perform research on filing regulations by county to ensure compliance.
- Financial Requests: Prepare check requests and fee approvals as necessary.
Client Communication:
- Maintain open lines of communication with clients, updating them on case developments through preferred methods.
- Collaborate with paralegals and attorneys to discuss case-related issues.
- Implement a robust follow-up system to track deadlines and ensure timely responses.
- Request necessary documents and fees from clients and third parties, ensuring follow-up on outstanding requests.
Administrative Duties:
- Organize and maintain case files systematically.
- Digitally manage documents by scanning, uploading, and updating all materials in the case management system and client portals.
- Handle correspondence with clients and relevant parties.
- Generate reports to monitor compliance with client deadlines.
