Job Summary and Qualifications
Position Summary:

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator is a Registered Nurse who demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for patients.

Each unit may require specialized skills. The delivery of care is based on criteria that are age-appropriate and consider the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety, and learning needs of each individual patient.

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator may rotate to other areas outside of their normally assigned service area and will perform duties for which they have demonstrated competency.

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator performs delegated duties consistent with their scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery at NSMC. This role involves caring for patients from adolescents to geriatrics.



Position Requirements:

Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license. Current AHA or ARC BLS certification.

Education:
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.

Experience:
Two to four years of acute care/specialty nursing experience is desirable.

1 to 3 years of previous experience in a charge/supervisory position is preferred; candidates should be able to articulate and demonstrate knowledge of nursing theory and practice.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrates strong organizational skills. Provides safe and appropriate patient care within the Standards of Nursing Practice at NSMC. Displays sound judgment and problem-solving skills. Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers.
