Staff Development Coordinator - RN

At Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services, we are committed to providing a supportive and challenging environment for our staff to grow and develop.

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Staff Development Coordinator - RN. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the staff development program, acting as a personnel health nurse, and providing orientation for all employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the staff development program to ensure all employees receive the necessary training and support.
  • Act as a personnel health nurse to provide medical care and support to employees.
  • Provide orientation for all new employees to ensure a smooth transition into their roles.
  • Conduct training sessions on blood-borne pathogens, hazard communication standards, and other relevant topics.
  • Act as the primary instructor for the Nurse Aide Training Program as approved by DFS.
  • Post workshops and in-service training sessions to encourage attendance and participation.
  • Coordinate and direct in-house in-service training for all staff.
  • Assist the Nursing Management Team in reviewing incident reports and making recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with a current, valid RN license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
  • Five years of nursing experience in a long term care setting, and/or nursing education experience.
  • Ability to provide quality nursing care and genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
  • CPR certification.
  • Ability to supervise nursing staff and make decisions regarding nursing problems.
  • Ability to teach, instruct, and direct orientation, continuing education, and in-services.
