Job Summary

College of DuPage is seeking a qualified Earth Science instructor to teach courses in a multicultural environment. The successful candidate will be committed to facilitating student success and welcome the opportunity to work with students with diverse learning abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Earth Science courses in a variety of delivery modes, including face-to-face, online, hybrid, and blended formats.
  • Develop and implement course plans and instructional materials.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide timely and accurate feedback.
  • Submit required paperwork related to instruction in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in the content area or a Master's degree plus 18 semester hours of graduate credit in the discipline of instruction.
  • Prior college-level teaching experience and the ability to teach online are preferred.
  • Experience in teaching introductory/Fundamentals of Earth Science, Astronomy, Oceanography, and Meteorology is preferred.
  • Experience and proficiency using Blackboard LMS for lab and non-lab courses is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to teach remotely with technology and experience in online or virtual teaching.
  • Access to personal technology, home computer with appropriate ability to teach online.
