Key Responsibilities- Teach online and face-to-face undergraduate and graduate courses that meet the needs of the department
- Conduct research and publish in the field of sociology
- Seek grant funding to support research initiatives
- Advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students
- Participate in service activities at the department, college, and university levels
- Ph.D. in Sociology or a related field completed by the time of appointment
- Specialization in computational methods
- Established and/or strong potential for research in the field of sociology, including seeking external funding
- Capacity to teach online and on-campus undergraduate and graduate courses that meet the needs of the department
- Area of substantive research specialization within sociology is open, with a methodological specialization in computational research methods preferred
- Interest in developing a research agenda that involves issues of the desert Southwest and Border Region
