Experience Required: Candidates must possess LTACH/ICU experience.

Under the guidance of the Chief Nursing Officer, Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager, or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse will utilize the nursing process to deliver, oversee, and manage care for patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse is responsible for planning, coordinating, and providing patient care, which includes interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, and patient and family education for post-hospitalization, as well as accessing community resources. Additional duties may be assigned as needed, including Charge Nurse responsibilities (ACLS certification required).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Patient Care Essential Functions
  • Maintain precise and detailed reports and records.
  • Monitor, document, and communicate symptoms and changes in patients' conditions.
  • Ensure complete and accurate records of all activities performed.
  • Adjust patient treatment plans based on responses and conditions.
  • Consult and collaborate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions.
  • Oversee all aspects of care, including dietary and physical activity.
  • Direct and supervise LVNs/LPNs, PCTs, CNAs/NAs.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, assisting as necessary.
  • Conduct all scheduled assessments and physician orders promptly.
  • Demonstrate proper use of medication dispensing systems.
  • Function effectively as a team member within the department.
  • Perform duties accurately and professionally, being mindful of patient and departmental needs.
  • Exhibit knowledge and skill in nursing processes and procedures, adhering to policies and protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Training: Must hold current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the relevant state. Current BLS certification is mandatory.

ACLS certification: Required for Charge Nurses, High Ops, and ICU roles.

Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not mandatory.
