About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. As a Senior Echocardiography Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our cardiovascular services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all established echocardiography procedures, including stress echo testing, to provide comprehensive diagnostic information to physicians.
  • Recognize sonographic characteristics of normal and abnormal tissue, structures, and blood flow, and adjust scanning techniques to optimize image quality and spectral waveform.
  • Analyze sonographic findings throughout the examination to ensure a comprehensive exam is complete and sufficient data is provided to the physician to render a final diagnosis.
  • Initiate additional scanning techniques or administer contrast agents as indicated by the examination.
  • Work in partnership with other healthcare professionals to provide the best medical care possible for all patients.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonography program.
  • Minimum of 2 years of cardiac/echo sonographer experience.
