We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Chartwells K12. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery, and service schedules.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepares food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
- Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning and meeting outlined standards
- Tastes all prepared food items to ensure quality
- Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting as required
- Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor immediately
- Previous culinary experience is required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Competitive hourly rate of $18.50
