- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safety regulations, performance standards, and training protocols.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, providing guidance and support to maintenance staff.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels for critical repair components and manage external service contracts.
- Review maintenance and calibration documentation to ensure adherence to safety and sanitation regulations.
- Facilitate and monitor the training progression of hourly employees.
- Direct daily departmental activities, including employee supervision, training, attendance monitoring, and operational management to meet production standards.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in a maintenance role, ideally within the food manufacturing sector.
- At least 10 years of experience in a leadership capacity within maintenance teams.
- Proven experience in establishing maintenance policies and procedures.
- Familiarity with quality systems and regulatory requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments to resolve issues.
- High attention to detail and critical thinking abilities for strategic problem-solving.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and statistical analysis software.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- 15 years in manufacturing or maintenance management.
- Experience in developing preventive maintenance and safety initiatives.
- Background in leading production teams in a manufacturing environment.
- 20 years of experience in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
Physical Requirements:
- Normal visual and auditory capabilities.
- Average physical strength and mobility.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capability to lift weights of 30 lbs. or more.
Work Environment:
The work environment is characterized by moderate noise levels and potential exposure to fumes or airborne particles. Activities may involve proximity to moving machinery and prolonged exposure to varying temperatures.
