Key Responsibilities
  • Defect Identification: Inspect boats for cracks, blisters, stress fractures, and cosmetic flaws.
  • Team Leadership: Lead employees within the fiberglass department to achieve continued success.
  • Repair Coordination: Estimate repair times, plan for materials, and coordinate jobs with management.
  • Surface Preparation: Grind out defective areas, smooth rough edges/areas using appropriate power or hand-tools.
  • Repair Execution: Prep fiberglass, resins, and damaged areas for repair, shape and smooth edges to match contour properly, mix gel coat catalyst, and spray or brush repaired surfaces; match colors.
  • Finishing Touches: Buff and polish repaired surfaces.

Awarded annual salary: $60,000 - $80,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
