Job Overview

This 90-bed community hospital is part of the First Health of the Carolinas system and offers a dynamic work environment. As a Dietitian Nutritionist I, you will provide hospital-wide nutritional care for various inpatient units, working closely with healthcare teams to ensure patient satisfaction and quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides hospital-wide nutritional care for a variety of inpatient units
  • Works in cardiac rehab as a part of the team
  • Performs quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction rounds and monthly test trays
  • Educates healthcare team members, including physicians and nurses
  • Serves as a preceptor for dietetic interns

Requirements:
  • Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire
