About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Washington Veterans Home. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide vital signs and other resident data, accurately recording and reporting any changes
  • Assist with range of motion exercises and practice infection control techniques
  • Document intake and output records, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
  • Perform basic nursing procedures, such as applying anti-embolism stockings and creams to intact skin
  • Maintain a safe, sanitary, and harmonious environment, adhering to infection control protocols
Requirements
  • High school graduation or equivalent
  • Valid Washington State license to practice as a nursing assistant certified
  • Six months of experience in customer service in a healthcare setting or six months of direct patient care experience
  • Current, active status on the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (OBRA) Registry
Preferred Qualifications
  • Long-term care experience
